I like the picture beside the picture.
The unexpected expression, the odd bit of light, the thing happening just outside the planned frame.
I’m Kyle, a Sacramento photographer opening a limited number of paid sessions while I build out the people side of my portfolio. I’ve spent years making photographs for myself and alongside my day job; this is a small, intentional step into client work.
I work on location, mostly with natural or available light and a compact kit. I can give useful direction, but I’m not trying to manufacture every inch of an image. If you like what you see here and want to make something in that spirit, we’ll probably work well together.

No studio setup. We choose a place and time that give us something good to work with.
My interpretation
Your references and priorities matter. The finished photographs will still look like mine.
An honest answer
If an idea needs equipment or experience I don’t have, I’ll tell you before money changes hands.
A separate day job
I’m also a journalist. To keep those roles separate, I don’t accept paid photography assignments involving politics, government, public affairs or anything that overlaps with my reporting.
